Sheep to Shawl Demonstration and Competition at the Puyallup Fair.

Each year before the Puyallup State Fair guildmembers design a shawl, spin the wool warp and dye the wool warp and weft, During our day at the Fair, guildmembers card and spin the wool weft, warp the loom, weave the shawl and finish the ends, all in one day while they interact with the public and demonstrate the above activities.

Later in the Fair the shawl is judged in a competition with the other local guilds. You can see some of our previous shawls in the Website Pictures.
